Sexuality, consciousness and womxn empowerment

While attending Stellenbosch university there have been many opportunities granted to me for becoming more involved in my community. The Student Representative Council decided to host an exhibition while campaigning for issues surrounding sexuality, consciousness and womxn empowerment.

My contribution to the campaigning was to create media that captured a narrative about the struggles and often loneliness of self-empowerment.

The themes I was given were; Africanism, Trans is Beautiful and Stop Labeling Womxn.

AFRICANISM

TRANSGENDER IS BEAUTIFUL

STOP LABELLING WOMXN

Photography is powerful medium for challenging stereotypes as it is engaging and thought provoking without being aggressively confrontational.

Let me know what you think?
